The functions of filopodia and lamellipodia in mature osteoclasts are not well known in the process of bone resorption. We investigated the function of filopodial/lamellipodial movement in mature osteoclasts by video-enhanced contrast-differential interference contrast (VEC-DIC) microscopy.
