Supercritical carbon dioxide extraction of bioactive flavonoid from Strobilanthes crispus (Pecah Kaca)

The bioactive flavonoid compounds of Strobilanthes crispus (Pecah Kaca) leaves obtained by using supercritical carbon dioxide (SC-CO2) extraction were investigated and the obtained crude extract yields were compared in order to select the best operation parameters.

Preparation of penta-O-galloyl-β-d-glucose from tannic acid and plasma pharmacokinetic analyses by liquid–liquid extraction and reverse-phase HPLC

The gallotannin penta-O-galloyl-beta-d-glucose (PGG) has many biological activities including in vivo anti-cancer efficacy. We present in this paper a scaled-up protocol for its preparation in high purity from tannic acid by acidic methanolysis with typical yield of 15%.

Optimisation of red pepper seed oil extraction using supercritical CO2 and analysis of the composition by reversed‐phase HPLC‐FLD‐MS/MS

The optimum conditions were as follows: extraction pressure, 27.17?MPa; extraction temperature, 47.67??C; and the added concentration of modifier, 8.11 vol.%. Under the optimum conditions, the oil yield of 18.4% was obtained, which was well matched with the predicted yield.

A sensitive and reproducible stir bar sorptive extraction and HPLC?UV detection method was used for the therapeutic drug monitoring of chlorpromazine and trifluoperazine in human serum. The separation was achieved using a C18 column.
