Accumulation of anthracenyl-amino acid topoisomerase I and II inhibitors in drug-sensitive and drug-resistant human ovarian cancer cell lines determined by high-performance liquid chromatography

The method uses an Apex ODS-2 column and a mobile phase of 0.25M ammonium acetate/trifluoroacetic acid (pH 3) in methanol with gradient elution. Selective detection is achieved by monitoring at 545 nm, with limits of detection ranging between 2 and 4 ng on the column.

Generation of two isomers with the same disulfide connectivity during disulfide bond formation of human uroguanylin

Their primary structures, molecular weights, and disulfide connectivities proved to be identical, but their optical rotation values were different, suggesting that they are topological isomers. Only compound I was found to increase the cGMP levels in cultured T84 cells significantly.

Comparison of flower color with anthocyanin composition patterns in evergreen azalea

In evergreen azaleas, major anthocyanins were detected from petals of wild species and cultivars by HPLC analysis. Depending on flower color, all samples were divided into three groups: red, purple or white, using the Japan color standard for horticultural plants.

HPLC analysis and antioxidant activity of Ulmus davidiana and some flavonoids

In this study, we investigated the antioxidative activities of (?)-catechin (1), (?)-catechin-7-O-?-d-apiofuranoside (2) and (?)-catechin-7-O-?-d-xylopyranoside (3) in terms of their abilities to promote metal chelation, prevent lipid peroxidation, and inhibit DNA cleavage.
