Preparation of highly ordered growth of single-crystalline Gd2O2S:Eu3+ nanostructures

Fabrication of highly ordered single-crystalline Gd2O2S:Eu3+ nanostructures over a porous anodized aluminum oxide (AAO) template via hydrothermal method is described. Well aligned non-collapsed Gd2O2S:Eu3+ nanostructures are ideal functional components for next generation luminescent devices.

Hydrothermal synthesis of YBO3:Tb3+ microflowers and their luminescence properties

? We report an efficient surfactant-free hydrothermal approach to synthesize hexagonal YBO3:Tb3+ with novel self-assembled 3D architectures. The as-obtained samples present flowerlike agglomerates composed of nanoflakes with thickness of 20nm and high crystallinity in 180?C.

A facile synthesis of SrWO4 nanobelts by the sonochemical method

Room-temperature photoluminescence of SrWO4 with various morphologies have also been investigated. Results showed that SrWO4 nanobelts possessed good photoluminescent properties, suggesting that SrWO4 nanobelts could be used in novel optoelectronic devices.

Morphology investigation of hydrothermally prepared ZnO micro-crystals influenced by Cu2+ ions

Micrometer-sized ZnO with various shapes have been synthesized by a hydrothermal route with Zn(Ac)2/NH3?H2O in the presence of copper ions. Powder X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy were utilized to characterize the composition and structure of the samples, respectively.

Crystal growth and characterization of CuI single crystals by solvent evaporation technique

Growth and optical properties of the Ce-doped Li6Gd (BO3)3 crystal grown by the modified Bridgman method

The ternary oxide Li6Gd(BO3)3:Ce crystals with dimensions up to ?14?100mm3 were prepared by the modified Bridgman method. The crystallinity of crystal was measured using X-ray rocking curve analysis. The composition of the inclusions existing in the crystal was measured by electronic microprobe.
