Luminescence properties of Y3Al5O12:Ce nanoceramics

It has been shown that the properties of YAG:Ce OC are closer to the properties of the SCF counterpart, where YAl antisite defects are completely absent, rather than to the properties of SC of this garnet with large concentration of YAl antisite defects.

Synthetics of ZnO nanostructures by thermal oxidation in water vapor containing environments

Metallic Zn films deposited on glass were wet or dry oxidized at 390?C in pure N2 or O2 to understand the effects of water vapor in different oxygen partial pressure on growth of ZnO nanostructure during thermal oxidation.

Enhancement in light extraction efficiency from GaN based LEDs with nanopores ITO p-contact grown on patterned sapphire substrate

Blue light emitting diodes (LEDs) have been fabricated with InGaN/GaN well layers (QWs) on micro-patterned sapphire substrate (PSS). Low pressure growth of GaN layer on PSS effectively reduces the density of edge dislocations.

Evolution of Yb3+ environment and luminescence properties under ionizing irradiation in aluminoborosilicate glasses

Yb-doped aluminoborosilicate glasses were irradiated with 2.3MeV electron and gamma rays at different doses ranging between 104 and 2.6?109 Gy and the local structure around the Yb3+ ions has been studied using a combination of NMR, EPR and photoluminescence spectroscopic techniques.

Hydrothermal synthesis and photoluminescence properties of SrCO3

Well-crystallized strontium carbonate (SrCO3) nanoparticles were successfully synthesized by a simple hydrothermal method. The products were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), which is in good agreement with orthorhombic SrCO3. Raman spectrum is in accordance with its crystal structure.

Growth and optical properties of the Ce-doped Li6Gd (BO3)3 crystal grown by the modified Bridgman method

The ternary oxide Li6Gd(BO3)3:Ce crystals with dimensions up to ?14?100mm3 were prepared by the modified Bridgman method. The crystallinity of crystal was measured using X-ray rocking curve analysis. The composition of the inclusions existing in the crystal was measured by electronic microprobe.

Synthesis, luminescence and crystallographic structure of Eu3+-doped garnet-type yafsoanite Ca3Te2(ZnO4)3

ed-emitting phosphor of Eu3+-doped calcium?tellurium?zinc oxide, Ca3Te2(ZnO4)3, with a garnet-type structure was synthesized by high temperature solid-state reactions. This phosphor exhibited a strong red emission.
