Raman and photoluminescence of Er3+-doped SnO2 obtained via the sol–gel technique from solutions with distinct pH

Raman and infrared photoluminescence measurements are carried out for Er3+ -doped SnO2 pellets (hard-pressed powders) obtained by the sol?gel technique from colloidal suspensions with distinct pH. Raman data indicate that bulk vibration modes are dominating for neutral pH.

High-temperature optical properties of sensitized Er3+ in Si-rich SiO2 – implications for gain performance

The high-temperature photoluminescence of Er-doped Si-rich SiO2 with and without silicon nanocrystals is studied at sample temperatures in the range 20?200?C. The optical properties of Er-doped Si-rich SiO2 with and without silicon nanocrystals are shown to exhibit a similar temperature dependence.

Hypersensitivity in the Luminescence and 4f–4f Absorption Properties of Mono- and Dinuclear EuIII and ErIII Complexes Based on Fluorinated β-Diketone and Diimine/ Bis-Diimine Ligands

Characterization of Er3+-doped fluoride glass ceramics waveguides containing LaF3 nanocrystals

Highly Er3+-doped fluoride glass ceramics planar waveguides containing LaF3 nanocrystals have been fabricated by physical vapor deposition (PVD). The solubility of Er3+ in the segregated nanocrystals can reach 30mol% which is much larger than the value found in LaF3-oxide glass ceramics.

Enhanced spectroscopic properties in Er3+/Yb3+-activated fluoride glass–ceramics planar waveguides

Bulk and planar waveguides fluoride glass?ceramics activated by erbium and ytterbium ions were prepared in the ZrF4?LaF3?ErF3 system. Waveguides were obtained by use of physical vapor deposition process. All samples were characterized by luminescence spectroscopy.

Structure and NIR luminescence of lanthanide(III) complexes with an organic tridentate ligand

Some lanthanide (Ln) complexes (Ln=Er, Yb, Nd) with an organic ligand, 6-diphenylamine carbonyl 2-pyridine carboxylic acid (HDPAP), have been synthesized. The crystal structure and near infrared luminescence of these complexes (Er-DPAP, Nd-DPAP and Yb-DPAP) have been investigated.

Luminescence in the 1.54 µm region for erbium in two-dimensional and three-dimensional mesoscopic structures

We have studied the luminescence and luminescence excitation spectra of erbium in the 1.54 ?m region in titanium oxide and silicon oxide xerogels, formed in the mesoscopic pores of three-dimensional synthetic opals and two-dimensional porous aluminum oxide structures.
