Evolution of stress and morphology in thermal barrier coatings

Residual stress in the thermally grown oxide (TGO) in thermal barrier coatings (TBCs) was measured by photoluminescence piezospectroscopy (PLPS) and stress maps created to track local stress changes as a function of thermal cycling.

Femtosecond luminescence decay due to exciton energy transfer in single-walled carbon nanotube bundles

We investigated luminescence decay kinetics in single-walled carbon nanotubes in large bundles excited by femtosecond pulses. The time constant of luminescence decay becomes longer with decrease in photon energy: 40fs at 1.2eV and 380fs at 0.6eV.

Mechanism for energy transfer processes between Ce3+ and Tb3+ in LaPO4:Ce,Tb nanocrystals by time-resolved luminescence spectroscopy

Y2O3:Eu3+ (5mol%) with Ag nanoparticles prepared by citrate precursor

Y2O3:Eu3+ (5mol% Eu3+) and Y2O3:Eu3+ (5mol% Eu3+) containing 1mol% of Ag nanoparticles were prepared by heat treatment of a viscous resin obtained via citrate precursor.

Meso-tetra[(p-alkoxyl-m-ethyloxy)phenyl]porphyrins and their Transition Metal Complexes: Synthesis and Characterization

Three meso-tetra[(p-alkoxyl-m-ethyloxy)phenyl]porphyrins and their transition metal (Zn, Cu, Ni, Co, Mn) complexes were synthesized. The molecular structures were confirmed by means of 1H NMR, UV-Vis, IR, elemental analyses, etc.

Highly selective acetate optical sensing of a ruthenium(II) complex carrying imidazole and indole groups

Ru(II) complex carrying imidazole and indole groups acts as a highly selective optical OAc? sensor over anions of F?, Cl?, Br?, I?, NO3 ?, H2PO4 ?, featuring with an almost fully quenching of its luminescence, and a distinct change in color from yellow to light orange detectable by the naked-eye.

Ageing of AgCl/Cd nuclear track detectors monitored by luminescence spectroscopy
