The synthesis and photoluminescent properties of one-dimensional ZnMoO4:Eu3+ nanocrystals

ZnMoO4:Eu3+ nanocrystals were synthesized by a mild and simple hydrothermal method. The results indicate that the pH value of the precursor solution plays a crucial role in controlling the morphology, size and structures.

Hydrothermal synthesis of GdBO3:Eu3+ nanofibres

Large-scale GdBO3:Eu3+ nanofibres with uniform diameter were controllably synthesized by a glycine-assisted hydrothermal method at 170?C using Gd(NO3)3, Eu(NO3)3 and Na2B4O7?10H2O as the precursors.

A novel solution method for selective synthesis of pure t-LaVO4

Tetragonal phase LaVO4 (t-LaVO4) was successfully selectively synthesized through a simple solution method with La(NO3)3 and NaVO4 as starting materials without any templates or catalysts. The products were characterized by X-ray powder diffraction (XRD) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM).

Structural properties of Sm3+ doped cerium oxide nanorods synthesized by hydrolysis assisted co-precipitation method

Cubic phase of 5% samarium doped cerium oxide nanoparticles was successfully synthesized by hydrolysis assisted co-precipitation method. The average grain sizes of the as-prepared and annealed (800?C) samples were 12?16nm respectively.

Cathodoluminescence of TiO2 nanotubes prepared by low-temperature anodization of Ti foils

We show that anodization of Ti sheets in an ethylene glycol and HF containing electrolyte at temperatures under 0?C results in the formation of a self-arranged ordered porous structure at the top surface of the sample.

Luminescent properties of Eu3+-activated nanophosphors Ca3Y0.8Gd0.2(VO4)2.4(PO4)0.6: Eu3+ for light-emitting diodes

Eu3+-doped Ca3Y0.8Gd0.2(VO4)2.4(PO4)0.6 nanophosphors have been prepared by modified solid-state reaction. X-ray powder diffraction, transmission electron microscopy (TEM), photoluminescence excitation and emission spectra were used to characterize the resulting samples.
