Compositional effect on structural and spectroscopic properties of P2O5–SnO–MnO ternary glass system

Glasses with a P2O5?SnO?MnO ternary system were synthesized and characterized. Glass forming range was determined to be 5?20mol% of MnO when the content of SnO was kept below 50mol%. Various analyses including thermal, optical and structural characterization were performed on (85? x)P2O5?xSnO?

Luminescence and absorbance of highly crystalline CaMoO4, SrMoO4, CaWO4 and SrWO4 nanoparticles synthesized by co-precipitation method at room temperature

Characterisation of geometric isomers of europium chlorides with 2,2'-bipyridine based on X-ray diffraction, luminescence and quantum chemical data

Analysis of the Eu3+ transitions observed in the luminescence spectra shows that the Eu3+ ion occupies a spectroscopic site symmetry that approaches a C2v symmetry with distortion towards C2 or lower symmetry.

Towards a high-performance optical gain medium based on bismuth and aluminum co-doped germanate glass

In this paper we present the development process of glass based on bismuth and aluminum co-doped germanate (GAB) glass. We found the addition of PbO to this glass (GAPB glass) increased the quantum efficiency (QE).

Energy transfer and colorimetric properties of Eu3+/Dy3+ co-doped Gd2(MoO4)3 phosphors

Dy3+ single-doped and Eu3+/Dy3+ co-doped gadolinium molybdate (Gd2(MoO4)3) phosphors were synthesized by a traditional solid-state reaction method. The XRD was used to confirm the crystal structure of the phosphors. The energy transfer between Eu3+ and Dy3+ was observed and studied.

Bi-doped glass optical fibers: Is it a new breakthrough in laser materials?

It has been shown recently, that Bi-doped glass optical fibers are a very promising active laser medium. Luminescence of Bi-doped glasses takes place in a spectral region of 1150?1500nm, where no efficient fiber lasers (or any other efficient lasers) exist.
