Synthesis and anion-sensing property of a family of Ru(II)-based receptors containing functionalized polypyridine as binding site

family of fluoroionophores have been synthesized incorporating Ru(II)-bipyridine moiety as fluorogenic unit and amino/benzenesulphonamido functionalized 1,10-phenanthroline moiety, attached to Ru(II), as binding sites.

Synthesis, crystal, molecular and electronic structures of hydride carbonyl ruthenium(II) complexes with pyridine and its derivative ligands

[RuHCl(CO)(PPh3)2(py)], [RuHCl(CO)(PPh3)2(pyIm)] and [RuCl(CO)(PPh3)2(pyoh)]?2CH3OH complexes (where py=pyridine, pyIm=imidazo[1,2-?]pyridine, pyoh=2-hydroxy-6-methylpyridine) have been prepared and studied by IR, NMR, UV?Vis spectroscopy and X-ray crystallography.

Controlled spatial distribution of tris(2,2′-bipyridine)ruthenium cation ([Ru(bpy)3]2+) in aluminum containing mesoporous silicas

The adsorption of tris(2,2?-bipyridine)ruthenium(II) ([Ru(bpy)3]2+) onto aluminum containing mesoporous silicas (BJH pore size of 2.2 and 3.0nm and Si/Al ratio of ca. 26) was conducted and the photoluminescence of the products was examined as a function of the loaded [Ru(bpy)3]2+ amounts.

Mechanisms of sensitization of lanthanide(III)-based luminescence in transition metal/lanthanide and anthracene/lanthanide dyads

Four sets of dyads are discussed, in all of which near-infrared emitting lanthanide(III) ions such as Nd(III), Er(III) or Yb(III) are energy-acceptors which provide sensitized luminescence following energy-transfer from an antenna group.

Highly selective acetate optical sensing of a ruthenium(II) complex carrying imidazole and indole groups

Ru(II) complex carrying imidazole and indole groups acts as a highly selective optical OAc? sensor over anions of F?, Cl?, Br?, I?, NO3 ?, H2PO4 ?, featuring with an almost fully quenching of its luminescence, and a distinct change in color from yellow to light orange detectable by the naked-eye.
