Luminescent hybrid oxydiacetic/ethyleneglycol/TEOS/Eu(III) material: thermal and spectroscopic analysis

A luminescent hybrid organic?inorganic material was synthesized with the sol-gel technique by hydrolysis of tetraethoxysilane (TEOS) and an organic precursor obtained through the esterification of oda (oxydiacetic acid) and EG (ethyleneglycol) in acid media.

Raman and photoluminescence of Er3+-doped SnO2 obtained via the sol–gel technique from solutions with distinct pH

Raman and infrared photoluminescence measurements are carried out for Er3+ -doped SnO2 pellets (hard-pressed powders) obtained by the sol?gel technique from colloidal suspensions with distinct pH. Raman data indicate that bulk vibration modes are dominating for neutral pH.

Luminescent mesoporous colloidal silica: A nanoporous substrate for photosensitization of lanthanide ions

Nearly monodisperse, mesoporous, colloidal silica spheres were treated with aminopropyltriethoxysilane and subsequently calcined to generate luminescent mesoporous colloidal silica (LMCS), with broad bimodal visible emission and high surface areas exceeding 700m2/g.

Structural and luminescence characterization of silica coated Y2O3:Eu3+ nanopowders

The Y2O3:Eu3+ pure system was also prepared as a reference. X-ray diffraction (XRD) and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) analyses suggest the formation of Si?O?Y bonds in cubic Y2O3:Eu3+ inside a SiO2 matrix annealed after 700?C heat treatment.

Photo-quenched of the luminiscence signal in Co(II)-doped alumina prepared by the sol–gel method

Co(II)-doped alumina monoliths prepared by the sol?gel method were laser irradiated producing fluorescence. The intensity of this defect-induced fluorescence was exponentially reduced with the irradiation time to practically disappear.
