Plasmon-enhanced luminescence of YAG: Yb, Er nanopowders by Ag nanoparticles embedded in silicate glass

Solid-state field-assisted diffusion was used to prepare Ag nano-composite silicate glass. After positive diffusion process, small Ag atoms clusters were formed in the slides.

Enhancement of up-conversion luminescence from Er3+–Yb3+-codoped tellurite films by Ag nanoparticles embedded in glass substrates

The glass substrates containing metal Ag nanoparticles (NPs) were fabricated by electric field-assisted ion diffusion process. The Er3+?Yb3+-codoped tellurite thin films were deposited on these substrates via non-hydrolytic sol?gel method.

Uniform YF3:Yb,Er up-conversion nanophosphors of various morphologies synthesized in polyol media through an ionic liquid

It is shown that the shape of the obtained nanoparticles is mainly determined by the nature of both, the polyol and the lanthanide precursors, which also affects to their colloidal stability in water suspensions.

Luminescent Quantum Clusters of Gold in Bulk by Albumin-Induced Core Etching of Nanoparticles: Metal Ion Sensing, Metal-Enhanced Luminescence, and Biolabeling

The synthesis of a luminescent quantum cluster (QC) of gold with a quantum yield of ~4 % is reported. It was synthesized in gram quantities by the core etching of mercaptosuccinic acid protected gold nanoparticles by bovine serum albumin (BSA), abbreviated as AuQC@BSA.
