Quantum efficiency of the luminescence of Eu(III), Tb(III) and Dy(III) in aqueous solutions

SummaryThe luminescence quantum efficiency of Eu(III), Tb(III) and Dy(III) in chloride solutions as well as complexed by aminopolyacetic acids was determined. An interpretation of the observed dependences in the system investigated has been proposed.

ESR of self-trapped excitons in alkali iodides

The ESR of self-trapped excitons (STE) in KI, RbI and CsI has been measured by detecting a change of the recombination luminescence induced by the 35 GHz resonant microwave. The zero-field splitting D in the triplet states which emit the luminescence peaked at 3.3 eV in KI, 2.3 eV in RbI and 3.

Erosion and luminescence from pure and impure solid deuterium

The first simultaneous measurements of the erosion and luminescence yield from deuterium films bombarded by 2-keV electrons are reported. The luminescence in the region from 200 to 600 nm was measured. A peak at about 275 nm was observed from the solid deuterium.
