Mouse myocardial first‐pass perfusion MR imaging

A first?pass myocardial perfusion sequence for mouse cardiac MRI is presented. A segmented ECG?triggered acquisition combined with parallel imaging acceleration was used to capture the first pass of a Gd?DTPA bolus through the mouse heart with a temporal resolution of 300?400 msec.

Rationale and Design of the POSTEMI (Postconditioning in ST-Elevation Myocardial Infarction) Study

The cardioprotection granted by metoprolol is restricted to its administration prior to coronary reperfusion

We compared the extent of myocardial salvage associated with intravenous pre-reperfusion-metoprolol administration in comparison with oral post-reperfusion-metoprolol or placebo. We also studied the effect on suspected markers of reperfusion injury.

Rapid MR assessment of left ventricular systolic function after acute myocardial infarction using single breath-hold cine imaging with the temporal parallel acquisition technique (TPAT) and 4D guide-point modelling analysis of left ventricular function

Despite wall motion abnormalities, 4DVF yields results for left ventricular ejection fractions and end-diastolic and end-systolic volumes that are in excellent agreement with standard LVF analysis results in these patients.

In Vivo Assessment of Cardiac Remodeling After Myocardial Infarction in Rats by Cine-Magnetic Resonance Imaging

In group A, MRI was done 8-16 weeks after MI on a 7-T scanner using an electrocardiogram-triggered cine-FLASH sequence. We determined left ventricular (LV) volumes and mass, wall thickness, Ml size, cardiac output, and ejection fraction. Afterward, MI size was histologically determined.

Monitoring dynamic alterations in calcium homeostasis by T 1-weighted and T 1-mapping cardiac manganese-enhanced MRI in a murine myocardial infarction model

Manganese has been used as a T1-weighted MRI contrast agent in a variety of applications. Because manganese ions (Mn2+) enter viable myocardial cells via voltage-gated Ca2+ channels, manganese-enhanced MRI is sensitive to the viability and inotropic state of the heart.
