Structural, spectroscopic and theoretical studies of short OHO hydrogen bonds in 2:1 complexes of 1-methyl-6-oxyquinolinium betaine with mineral acids

Bis(1-methyl-6-oxyquinolinium) hydroiodide, (6QB)2HI (1), has been characterized by X-ray diffraction, B3LYP calculations, FTIR and NMR spectroscopy. The complex crystallizes in triclinic P 1 ? space group. A pair of 6QB molecules is bridged by the O?H?O hydrogen bond of 2.450(2)?.

The adsorption of tetracycline onto the zeolite beta is highly pH-dependent. The aluminum atoms in the zeolite beta play a crucial role in the adsorption.Extensive usage of tetracycline has resulted in its contamination in surface water and groundwater.

Evaluating chemical degradation of proton conducting perfluorosulfonic acid ionomers in a Fenton test by solid-state 19F NMR spectroscopy

Chemical degradation and stability of perfluorosulfonic acid (PFSA) ionomers against radical attack were investigated by an (ex situ) Fenton test. Solid-state and solution NMR as well as ATR-FTIR studies were performed on the samples before and after the Fenton reaction.

Fuel properties of bio-oil/bio-diesel mixture characterized by TG, FTIR and 1H NMR

There has been an increasing interest in alternative fuels made from biomass which is abundant and renewable. Bio-oil and bio-diesel seem to be such promising liquid fuels. Bio-oil produced by fast pyrolysis of biomass is highly viscous, acidic, and has high water content.
