Synthesis and characterization of low sulfoethylated cellulose

The synthesis and characterization of sulfoethyl cellulose (SEC) exhibiting low degrees of substitution ascribed to sulfoethyl groups (DSSE) were reported. The effects of reaction temperature, duration, reaction mediums as well as sulfoethylating agents on DSSE were investigated.

Novel and unusual triterpene from Black Cohosh. Determination of structure of 9,10-seco-9,19-cyclolanostane xyloside (cimipodocarpaside) by NMR, IR and Raman spectroscopy and DFT calculations

new triterpene xyloside, designated cimipodocarpaside was isolated from a Black Cohosh (Actea racemosa L.) extract and its structure was elucidated by means of 1H, 13C NMR, IR and Raman spectroscopy supported by B3LYP/6-31G** calculations.

Comparison of established and novel purity tests for the quality control of heparin by means of a set of 177 heparin samples

Conformational properties of 1-fluoro-1-methyl-silacyclohexane and 1-methyl-1-trifluoromethyl-1-silacyclohexane: Gas electron diffraction, low-temperature NMR, temperature-dependent Raman spectroscopy, and quantum chemical calculations

Hence, G ax G eq =0.11(13)kcalmol 1 for 1, whereas 2a and 2e have virtually the same free energy. Low-temperature 19F NMR experiments resulted in G ax G eq =0.26(2)kcalmol 1 at 125K for 1 and G ax G eq =0.36(2)kcalmol 1 at 118K for 2.

Structure and properties of ZnO–B2O3–P2O5–TeO2 glasses

Zinc borophosphate glasses doped with TeO2 were studied in the compositional series (100? x)[0.5ZnO?0.1B2O3?0.4P2O5]?xTeO2 in a broad concentration range of x =0?80mol% TeO2. The structure of the glasses was studied by Raman and IR spectroscopy and by 31P and 11B MAS NMR spectroscopy.

FT Raman investigation of novel chitosan sulfates exhibiting osteogenic capacity

Chitosan sulfates (CHS) exhibiting various total degrees of substitution ascribed to sulfate groups (DSS) were synthesized. The sulfation could be under homogeneous or non-homogeneous conditions. The obtained CHS were characterized and total DSS of up to 1.73 were determined.
