Restricted domain mobility in the Candida albicans Ess1 prolyl isomerase

Ess1 is a peptidyl prolyl cis/trans isomerase that is required for virulence of the pathogenic fungi Candida albicans and Cryptococcus neoformans. The enzyme isomerizes the phospho-Ser-Pro linkages in the C-terminal domain of RNA polymerase II.

NMR-based analysis of structure of heteroleptic triple-decker (phthalocyaninato) (porphyrinato) lanthanides in solutions

Analysis of LISs showed two sets of protons in the molecule with opposite signs of shift. Two-nuclei analysis of LISs testifies isostructurality of the whole series of investigated complexes in solution despite contraction of the lanthanide ions.

Improved determination of FID signal parameters in low-field NMR

In this work, novel methods are suggested for assessing signal parameters of the free induction decay (FID) in nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) experiments. The FID signal was recorded in a microtesla field and analysed to determine its relaxation time, amplitude, Larmor frequency and phase.

Quantification of protein backbone hydrogen-deuterium exchange rates by solid state NMR spectroscopy

We present the quantification of backbone amide hydrogen-deuterium exchange rates (HDX) for immobilized proteins. The experiments make use of the deuterium isotope effect on the amide nitrogen chemical shift, as well as on proton dilution by deuteration.

NMR investigation of guest-host complex between chloroform and cryptophane C

Guest-host complex between cryptophane C, possessing two non-equivalent caps, and chloroform is investigated by NMR spectroscopy. The kinetics of the chloroform exchange between the bound and free sites is determined by 1H exchange spectroscopy.
