Investigation of the metabolism of 7-(4-chlorbenzyl)-7,8,13,13a-tetrahydroberberine chloride in the rat

Summary The metabolism of 7-(4-chlorbenzyl)-7,8,13,13a-tetrahydroberberine chloride (CTHB), a compound with promising pharmacological effects against arrhythmia, was investigated in rat bile. A metabolite and unchanged CTHB were found in the bile.

Quadrupole splitting of the 7Li NMR line in LiNbO3 crystals

The quadrupole splitting of the 7Li NMR line has been computed for LiNbO3 crystals with various degree of nonstoichiometry. The different temperature dependence of the quadrupole coupling constant for congruent and stoichiometric crystals is discussed.

Discriminating between the displacive vs. order-disorder character of a phase transition by magic angle spinning NMR

Using squaric acid (H2C4O4) as an example, it is shown that the temperature dependence of the isotropic chemical shift (?ISO), as measured by magic angle spinning (MAS) NMR, can serve as a probe of the displacive vs. order-disorder character of a phase transition.

AN NMR STUDY OF THE REACTIONS OF CHLOROPHOSPHINES WITH AlC13. PHOSPHENIUM CATIONS FEATURING A S-P-N LINKAGE

The N-P+-S phosphenium cations1, 2 and 3 have been prepared by treatment of the respective precursor chlorophosphines4, 5 and 6 with the stoichiometric quantity of AlCl3 in CH2C12 solution. The cations 3 are noteworthy that they are the first aliphatic phospheniurn cations featuring a P-S bond.
