Rhodium in presence of platinum as a facilitator of carbon–carbon bond break: A composition study

In this work we investigate the acetaldehyde electrooxidation reaction on PtRh electrodeposits as a function of their composition. Potentiodynamic results show that the balance between CO2 and acetic acid pathways depends on the PtRh composition.

CO oxidation on phosphate-supported Au catalysts: Effect of support reducibility on surface reactions

Unexpectedly, CO interacts rapidly with Au/LaPO4 to evolve CO2 even though the LaPO4 is non-reducible. H2 evolves with CO2 during CO-TPR of Au/LaPO4 (but not for Au/FePO4) so surface hydroxyls react to oxidize CO, catalyzed by the Au, a pathway competing with direct CO oxidation.

Investigating the Oxidation of Biodiesel From Used Vegetable Oil by FTIR Spectroscopy: Used Vegetable Oil Biodiesel Oxidation Study by FTIR

The thermal oxidation of a biodiesel prepared from used vegetable oil was investigated using Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy. Spectral changes were observed in the hydroxyl, carbonyl, and cis/trans double bond regions for the control and Vitamin E-added samples.

Promoting effect of tin oxides on alumina-supported gold catalysts used in CO oxidation

In this study the influence of SnO x nanoparticles on the catalytic performance of alumina-supported gold catalysts was investigated in CO oxidation. The tin modified supports were prepared by grafting of tetraethyltin onto the surface of alumina via its hydroxyl groups.
