Si–graphite composites as anode materials for lithium secondary batteries

Two types of Si?graphite (Si?C) composites are synthesized and evaluated for anode materials of lithium secondary batteries. The mechano-chemical milling and the rotational impact blending methods are applied to synthesize two types of Si?C composites.

Electrical and optical properties of μc-SiH films

Surface characterization and properties of silicon nitride films prepared by ion-assisted deposition

Silicon nitride (SiN) films had been prepared at low substrate temperature (100?C) using the ion-assisted deposition (IAD) process. The films had been analyzed by the measurement of X-ray diffraction, atomic force microscopy, Fourier transform infrared spectrometry, nano indenter, and ellipsometry.

Preparation and cytocompatibility of Si-incorporated nanostructured TiO2 coating

MG63 cells were cultured on the surface of the coating to investigate its cytocompatibility. Potentiodynamic polarization tests were used to measure its corrosion resistance. The results showed that Si was successfully incorporated and distributed homogeneously in the coating.

Formation of Si m + and Si m C n + clusters by C60 + sputtering of Si

The secondary ion mass spectrum of silicon sputtered by high energy C60 + ions in sputter equilibrium is found to be dominated by Si clusters and we report the relative yields of Si m + (1? m ?15) and various Si m Cn + clusters (1? m ?11 for n =1; 1? m ?6 for n =2; 1? m ?4 for n =3).
