Polycrystalline elastic constants of in situ cementite (Fe3C)

By extrapolation, we estimated cementite's elastic constants. Altogether, we studied seven Fe?C binary alloys varying from 0 to 17.3at% carbon. Thus, we measured hypoeutectoid, near-eutectoid, and hypereutectoid alloys.

Heat capacity of fcc calcium

AbstractThe lattice entropy derived from the measured heat capacity at intermediate and high temperatures is analyzed to yield a weakly temperature dependent entropy Debye temperature. An unusual temperature dependence of this quantity may be a sign of error in the heat capacity data.

Thermal expansion and elastic constants

AbstractWe give a simple, useful relationship between thermal expansion, V/V, and elastic constants. The relationship permits estimation of thermal expansion from only elastic constants (second order and third order) and atomic volume. Elastic-constant temperature dependence is not required.
