Urban climate change: A comprehensive ecological analysis of the thermo-effects of major Chinese cities

Using 89 major Chinese cities which comprise the case study area, this article computed the urban thermo-effect of summer in the 1990s and 2000s compared to that in the 1950s, using the database of highest monthly temperatures recorded by national weather stations from 1951 to 2007.

Reconstruction of the 500-year ground surface temperature history of northern Awaji Island, southwest Japan, using a layered thermal property model
