The Influence of Age on Thermosensitivity During Cold Water Immersion

This investigation evaluated the influence of older age (OLD) vs younger age (YNG) on thermosensitivity and metabolic heat production (HP) during cold water immersion (20?C) in 15 YNG (22.7?2.7 years) vs 7 OLD (41.7?2.7 years) individuals.

Day and Night Seasonal Temperature Differences for a Naturally Ventilated Freestall Barn with Different Stocking Densities

Mean day temperatures (MDT) and mean night temperatures (MNT) were different for all within barn comparisons. Inside and outside MDT were different for cold-season periods. MDT differences between inside and outside were CSTO (6.27�F)>CSOO (5.64�F)>WSTO ( 0.03�F).

Creep damage behaviour of Al6061-Al2O3 particulate composites

Aluminium-based particulate reinforced composites were developed to enhance stiffness, wear resistance and mechanical properties. Their tensile and creep resistance at temperatures up to 250?C is generally limited due to reduced high temperature properties of the matrix alloys.
