Polarographic Determination of Low Concentrations of Nitrilotriacetate in Lake Water

Samples of lake water containing NTA in concentrations from 1 to 10 ppm have been analysed by a polarographic method. The NTA was converted to its 1:1 cadmium complex by adding a 100% excess of cadmium.

Studies on the Permeability of Human Oral Mucosa III. The Permeability of Dry Buccal Mucosa to Water, Sodium and Potassium

The loss of water, sodium and potassium from human buccal mucosa during temporary suspension of salivary secretion has been studied by analysing the content of filter paper discs applied to the mucosa in 12 young persons, 11 with normal mucosa and 1 with bilateral leu-koedema.

Part I: Design of Electrolytic Cells and Calculation of the Mean Current Density

The cylindrical cell design was found suitable for deuterium enrichment of relatively large volumes of water. The perforation of the anode helped in the free and rapid liberation of the gasses. The second plate type design was more suitable for enrichment in small volumes.
