The influence op soil treatments on elemental composition of corn and on zinc soil tests on two Missouri soils

Corn (Zea mays L) was grown at three locations on soil treated with Zn at two levels of soil fertility. Corn leaves were sampled at 2 stages of growth and analyzed for several elements. Yields were measured and soils were analyzed for O.

A simplified method for determining acetic acid soluble phosphorus in plant tissue

The proposed procedure greatly simplifies the determination of 2% HOAc soluble P in plant tissue. Extraction with Darco G 60 eliminates the need for the H2O2 oxidation of the extract.

The determination of phosphorus in Kjeldahl digests of plant material by automatic analysis

method is proposed for the determination of phosphorus in plant material using a modified Kjeldahl digestion and a Technicon Autoanalyzer. The procedure depends upon the formation of phosphomolybdate and its reduction to molybdenum blue by ferrous ammonium sulphate.
