Rapid thin-layer chromatographic screening for parathion in canned peaches without cleanup

SummaryRapid screening for parathion above 0.5 p.p.m. in canned peaches is possible by thin-layer chromatography including a selected colorimetric spray detection system which does not respond to the natural components in the substrate.

SummarySelected drugs were tested for effectiveness in reducing dieldrin retention by rats. Female rats were fed diets treated to contain 1 ppm dieldrin. The drugs were administered as feed additives or by i.p. injections.
